room there is for a vessel of
this size. Freedom is committed to the small group surf charter
experience and only takes a maximum 4-5 surfers. This is in comparison
to 8-10 surfers on other charter boats.
Freedom is equipped with all modern safety and navigation equipment.
She cruises at an unbelievably quiet 7-8 knots under power, and when
the wind is right the sails go up for extra speed. With a draft of
less than a meter she is perfect for getting close to the surf breaks
or inside the lagoons to give you the best view of the waves. Freedom
is air-conditioned, has 2 forward cabins with twin berths and one aft
cabin with a double berth. Both forward cabins have private flatscreen
TV’s and DVD players. There are 3 showers (2 outside 1 inside) with
hot and cold water. Freedom’s comfortable interior saloon (with its
own TV and DVD player), covered cockpit, and ample deck space which is
shaded by awnings, give you a choice of different places to relax. The
2 trampolines up at the bow are like big flat hammocks, great for
lazing around and watching the surf or just catching the afternoon
breeze. The 3.5 meter rigid hull inflatable dingy is powered by a 15hp
outboard for quick and convenient runs to and from the lineup.
Freedom is the best option for a small group of friends who just want
to go on charter by themselves and not with a bunch of strangers.
Freedom’s skipper is a good surfer who knows all the breaks. Onboard
internet weather and swell maps allow him to stay on top of the
conditions. He will customize the charter to the surfing level of the
group so that you will be in the type of surf and crowd (or no crowd)
where YOU feel most comfortable. And if you are keen to catch fish,
Freedom has all the gear, including 2 Penn reels. There are always
lines out when Freedom is underway, and one group from San Diego
caught 17 big fish during their 10-day charter. The western chef will
provide plenty of good, healthy food and for you coffee lovers there
is an espresso machine.
